It deepdns if you It deepdns if you can live without the XSI's .5 larger screen, 2 extra focal points, 2 more Megapixels, and .5 extra FPS. To me, it isn't worth the extra cost. To be honest you could use the extra money towards nicer lenses, which is where the true value is. I'd recommend the XS, but it is all your prerogative.
